Tree Energy Feeds Mother Earth
Like you, I have always seen that tree roots were fed by Mother Earth. She provided the soil, the rain water, and nutrients. The sun provides the light for photosynthesis to take place in the leaves—this cycle is well known to biologists.
There is another unseen energy at play that only mystics and clairvoyants can see and experience. It took me until I was thirty-two years old to realize “the rest of the story.” At that time I was clairsentient…I was able to sense/feel and sometimes “see/perceive” with my eyes closed, but that was it.
I had gone with a group of women who wanted to meditate with the giant sequoias at Giant Forest Lodge National Park in the Sierra Mountains above Bakersfield, California. They are the tallest trees in the world, at 300 hundred feet high. I had seen the giant redwoods in Muir Woods, north of San Francisco. I had been awed to silence by these mighty giants. The place reminded me sharply of a sacred holy cathedral, the loving energy swirling softly between all these mighty beings.
If I thought the redwoods were something, when we arrived at Giant Forest Lodge and I saw how HUGE the sequoias were in this grove, I was brought to my knees in awe and humbleness. They were incredible and that same holiness, that sacredness I had experienced in Muir Woods was three times more tangible and powerful here with the sequoias.
I spent three days meditating 3-4 times a day with different sequoia trees that our leader chose for us to go to and connect with. I was feeling so ungrounded, barely feeling my feet come down on the soft, moist earth. Not here, not there, somewhere in between. I’d never been so “high” in my life. It was unsettling because I’m a solidly grounded person and to be unmoored like this made me uneasy. The other remarkable happening was that I became clairvoyant, not clairsentient.
The last meditation of the day was in the late afternoon. I was the last to arrive at a grove of five sequoias and took the last tree available. I settled down, my back to the sequoia, silently asking permission to sit and meditate with it. I instantly felt a pair of warm arms come around my shoulders and gently, warmly embrace me. I felt a deepening of my meditative state and very slowly, I felt and SAW myself being pulled INTO the sequoia! I was jolted by the fact I was simultaneously feeling myself being pulled through the tree’s body and also as if I was standing back and seeing the whole experience at the same time! I felt the bark passing through my skin, muscle and bone and it was seamless and painless.
I felt the coolness of the thin, watery cambium layer that allows the tree to live. And then I saw this huge bright yellow column of light and energy in the center of it, pulsing and throbbing. At the same time, I saw this massive, ten-foot-tall green man that resembled a vague outline and form of a human. He didn’t have hands or fingers or feet…but two arms and legs, a neck and a head, and was bright Kelly-green color and glowing. His arms were still around my shoulders and I was pressed against the front of him as he pulled me into the center of this wide golden river of light. I looked down and I saw half of the column of gold energy spreading out into a huge circle around the sequoia and then from that, I saw the energy released by that circular root system deeply into Mother Earth’s soil. I watched as the soil eagerly absorbed the gold light.
I felt his arms release me and I stepped away, turning and looking up at him. I ask him who he was and he said he was the spirit of this tree. He gave me his name, but asked that I never repeat it to anyone and I promised I wouldn’t. I pointed down at the pulsing gold energy flowing into his roots and asked him about that. He didn’t have a face; just a round green blob of sorts stuck on his neck. I felt him laugh but didn’t hear it. He used mental telepathy with me and told me the energy from above—and he pointed upward through the trunk—comes from the prana of cosmic/spiritual “food energy” that is everywhere. Only I saw this river of golden light going straight up and out of the top of the tree and into the sky somewhere high above me where I could no longer see it.
I saw the other half of the golden column pulsing downward from the sky, through the top of the tree and into the root system to feed Mother Earth. I was amazed, never realizing that this cycle was happening. No one had ever told me about it, not even my mother, and I’d never read anything about such a cycle in any metaphysical book. I could feel my new tree spirit friend smile, a sense of being pleased with my reaction and awe to the invisible process. He asked me if I’d like to know where I came from. Blinking up at him, I asked, “How can you know that?” Again, that sense of a warm smile, like a patient father with a petulant and curious four-year-old little girl.
“Come with me. I’ll show you…,” and he wrapped his long arm around my waist and suddenly, we were flying up the column center of the tree. We burst out the top, and I saw the blue of the sky, then it got darker and in a split second, we were in space and I could see the stars. We were on this golden ribbon of energy, flowing along with it, and I saw galaxies and the beauty of space at the same time speed was accelerating. Soon we were in what I supposed was deep space, it was black, like a void or a vacuum. It wasn’t uncomfortable and I felt safe with my tree spirit. Up ahead, I saw a glow of a huge, gold, glowing egg hovering in space, seemingly needing no support. It hovered over a lattice-like basket of gold, glowing light, reminding me of something that had been crocheted and it was beautiful to look at.
As we drew near, the egg became huge and we looked like two tiny ants hovering above it. My tree spirit told me this was where I came from. I thought it was kind of funny, thinking of the “chicken and egg” fable: which came first? The chicken or the egg? Well, now I had my answer. He pointed to the egg and I asked if we could go inside it, to see what it looked like. “No,” he said, “not yet. You will someday, but not now.” Dying of curiosity, I said, “Can’t you tell me what’s inside it?”
“All your incarnations,” he said. “Hundreds and hundreds of them.”
That made me all the more intensely curious to look or get inside that egg. I was disappointed that I couldn’t go inside my “home”. I felt my tree spirit respond to my sadness and he said that I would get to go inside but just not yet. I had to be satisfied with that. By the way, I was sixty years old before I had the opportunity to go to my “cosmic egg” and was allowed inside it.
He flew me back on that golden energy highway, back down through the top of the tree and he gently settled me on my feet where I had entered his trunk, bathed in the golden light that was so alive, beautiful and loving. He told me that every tree on Mother Earth does the same thing: bringing prana from the cosmos, using a tree, much like a transit tube or perhaps an antenna that drew the energy food/prana down through itself and out its roots to feed the Mother.
I thanked the tree spirit for everything he did for me. I could hear the other women outside the trunk stirring and I knew, sadly, that my time was up with him. He told me that from now on, he would be around if I needed him. All I had to do was call his name. I threw my arms around his waist and hugged him, and I felt his arms embrace me. Then I turned and once more, he guided me out of the core of the tree and I saw myself coming back into my body where I sat against him.
That was the only experience I’ve ever had like that. But now, as I opened my eyes, I could see the golden light coming from the sky and down through every sequoia that I could see. From that day forward, he has been with me. I came to understand in subsequent talks with my tree spirit, that all trees have a spirit, and that some are willing to work with human beings; others are not. I asked why he chose me to work with him and he said that we’ve been working together for thousands of years.
At first this shocked me, but then the life of a sequoia can be 3,000 years. They are the third longest -lived tree species in the world. One such sequoia tree is 3,266 years old in the Converse Basin Grove of the Giant Sequoia Monument. I began to digest what he said: 3,000 years is a long time and by human incarnations, most human lived 50 or so years, so that amounts to a lot of lifetimes!
He could also do healing, and saved my Arabian filly, Molly, from dying of sand colic. There were times when I would ask him to help me energy-wise, and he always did, but I didn’t abuse the privilege of him. Most often, it was metaphysical questions, my curiosity about so much I didn’t know, that I was so appreciative of his wide-ranging knowledge, his patience with me, his humor over his human, if you will. He was a very ADVANCED spirit/soul, and had so many more skills available to him. There wasn’t anything my tree spirit couldn’t do, but he never boasted about his skills and was always the humblest, gentle being I’d ever encountered.
He said every tree spirit was different; just as different as human beings. And that there were young, middle-aged and old soul spirits among the trees of the world. He felt it best that people work with the oldest tree in their immediate area, if possible. And if the tree accepted the person, to ask what its skills were. Although trees in general are very healing for a human being, the types of skills he has are not common to the tree nation. He’s a very old soul and I felt very lucky to have this kind of heart connection with him.
There are trees who are eager to work with you. So why not try it? You have nothing to lose and so MUCH to gain!
