Walking the Land – Woodhenge
WOODHENGE! Very few have heard of this powerful site which sits just one mile away from Stonehenge, in England. One day, Michelle Burdet, a friend from Switzerland, and I drove there, got out, and promptly offered our cornmeal gift to the site. I saw an older Druid woman, a priestess who is the guardian of the site, appear before us. I gave her our names and asked if we could douse or psychically sense the energy of this area. She gave us permission, and went around with me (because I am clairvoyant and could see/hear her), telling me many things about this important women’s center.
I’ve been to Stonehenge a number of times but never felt anything when I visited. When this happens, it could mean that the energy vibration of a place is so high that my auric vibration simply cannot connect with it. No big deal. This can happen to anyone if you visit enough energy charged sites. Plus, there are energy hubs and sacred sites everywhere, in every country and continent. Usually, the ones you are drawn to, you will be able to connect with and “feel”—or see something, or have a synchronistic event occur for you.
On the other hand, you may visit a site such as a church, dolmen, or sacred circle (such as Avebury, in England) and it feels “dead” or like the energy has been turned “off”, and you cannot feel/sense anything. This usually means that the energy, which can never be destroyed, has “gone to ground,” because humans are no longer acting heart/energy-wise with it in a sacred way. I walked through the Duomo di Milano, a Gothic church in Milan, Italy, and it was energetically barren. I also felt the same thing at the Notre Dame in Paris. When there’s an absence of energy, it feels lifeless or like you are entering a “vaccum”.
In contrast, Woodhenge was alive and wonderful for me and Michelle. It has a number of circles built by Druid priestesses, and they planted trees, outlining each circle. The Druid guardian told me it was a Druid women’s circle and a center for the region thousands of years ago. It was used for birthing children by the midwife priestesses, as well as for performing shamanic healing work—the Druid priestesses were all shamans who performed this healing work. It was also used for female-honoring ceremonies with the sun and moon throughout the year. I loved Woodhenge. The feeling was maternal and nurturing, like a mother holding her baby in her arms.
Here are some photos I took of the site. They put concrete canisters to show where each tree was originally. My friend Michelle did a lot of work here with her dowsing tools. I did my work clairvoyantly and wrote down my impressions, and what I was told by the Druid guardian in my notebook. During this work, we would never talk to each other as we focused on an area of energy on our own. We’d take notes or draw what we saw, such as a symbol or a vision, and when we were each done with our investigation, we would read these notes to one another. Often, we found that we’d discovered the same information gathered in two different ways.
